A Step Up for Young People

Empowering young people to make our communities better

We create positive change through grant making, community collaborations and donor engagement.

Donations go directly to supporting young people. We are completely reliant on volunteers and on the generosity of people who share our commitment. We support young adults living in Salisbury and surrounding areas by making grants to help them access employment, education and training, do charitable work, as well as providing support in crisis.

Means Making a Difference

The Rose Gale Trust - Helping Young People Means Helping Our Community's Future

Who we help

We support 13 to 25 years old with small grants to help with progress with education, employment and personal development. We can welcome applications from the Salisbury area and parts Wiltshire, Hampshire and Dorset.

Grant process

We award small grants up to around £200. We meet at the beginning of every month to review applications and inform all applicants whether we can award a grant. Read through our criteria to see whether you are eligible for a grant.

Fundraising

You can help us raise funds, organise your own fundraising event and set up a fundraising page on JustGiving. The Trust does not employ any staff and is run entirely on a volunteer basis. We are grateful for your support!

Love notes ♡

Thank you very much for the grant. I have now returned from my amazing trip to Tanzania where I participated in a project to build a bridge to allow access to the area, and I also helped to fit a much needed solar powered lighting system. Thank you again for all your support in helping make this possible.

Thank you so much for helping me and my daughter Charlie. She really enjoys the Scouts and you have given her the opportunity to go and enjoy herself with other children of her own age camping, fishing, sailing and cooking out and just have fun with other kids. What you do is wonderful and I can’t thank you enough.

Thank you Rose Gale Trust! With the money you provided I have been able to buy a much needed laptop to study CAD/CAM Design at college. I love my course and it is going really well. This would not have been possible without the computer that you helped me to get! Thank you again for your help.

As a volunteer at Riding for the Disabled in Wilton I’m on a limited budget and struggled to pay my bus fares. I thoroughly enjoy my role, thank you!
